Wedding vows in Spain after the paperwork

Terry Clear tells us how you can get married in Spain in his latest programme in the 'Spanish Matters' series.
With the current financial situation, many people have abandoned plans to marry in the Maldives or other idyllic locations and are choosing Spain where the sun shines and there are white sandy beaches. It seems that if one or both of you are residents then it is quite straightforward but if not then the rules seem to be different from area to area!
Terry suggests that you could go to Spain, register as a resident three months in advance of the event and then come back and marry as residents thus sidestepping the complications.
Of course, you could simply go to Gibraltar as did John Lennon and Yoko Ono and the local chemist will be your witness for just £10! Quite a lucrative sideline indeed.
