Destruction and death

Mon, 04/22/2013 - 15:49 -- peteranstis

With so much news coming to us from around the world where destruction of lives and property are featured, we have pulled together some programming to highlight tweets from expats about what they are doing. Not only is this all about hope and positive vibes but also shows the strength of the human spririt to survive and get on with things.

We hope you enjoy the programmes on Expatsradio made with our contributors around the world. Please send us you ideas for topics and we will continue to make features to match your interests.

Cheaper ferry travel for frequent travellers and no more breath test kits!

Thu, 01/24/2013 - 15:35 -- peteranstis

It seems that although the crossings are becoming cheaper with a myriad of offers out there, the French have decided to scrap the in-car breath testing kits. Does this mean a rush to speed cameras and other traps for motorists or is it simply that the government have decided it was a test kit too far? Watch this space or our Facebook and Twitter to be kept up to date.

Jobless Man Who Won't Get Up At 8am

Sat, 01/19/2013 - 15:49 -- peteranstis

Listen to the interview with a jobless man who would not start work at 8am. What is you opinion? Listen to the #LBC interview and let us know. Is this now how the world is?  Do those of us in work have to support anyone unwilling to work no matter how extremer the circumstances? This interview with Paul and afternoon presenter at LBC Julia Hartley-Brewer perhaps illustrate where things are going wrong. Let us have your opinion via the contact links on any page of Expatsradio.com.

Refunds from the Mayans?

Sat, 12/22/2012 - 15:46 -- peteranstis

Well that seems to be the end of that. No end of the world but still plenty of water slopping around in my lounge here in Devon so it feels a bit like it. It only remains for me to thank all of you for watching and listening to us in 2012 and hope you will join us in 2013 once the headache has worn off. The good news is that even if you can't bear any noise post-party, the programmes remain on the system for 12 months in most cases so you can listen in whenever you are ready! The studios will be closed until 27th from today but we will still be picking up messages from the e-mail.

No news is good news!

Fri, 12/21/2012 - 13:16 -- peteranstis

O.K. We've got to midday in the UK and so far the only distater here is the headache from too much partying last night at the end of the world do and a bit of water slopping about in the lounge. It could be that Dartmoor has been excluded from the fireworks or is it going to be a slow decline into oblivion? If so, I suppose I'll have to pay my council tax after all.

Have a great Christmas.
