Expatsradio is changing after 8 wonderful years of broadcasting on the internet. We have heard many stories and learnt much about the expat world but, following changes in the boardroom, the team have decided to take a sabbatical before taking over the site and returning with a new offering.
What will be happening to the site and station?
Well, we shall be making limited numbers of programmes while we are upgrading the studios, recharging our batteries and planning for the future.
Is this the end of Expatsradio ?
Absolutely not!! We shall be working on a new format which you will be able to learn more about from our regular website at www.expatsradio.com
in due course.
This would seem to be an appropriate moment to thank the many thousands of people who have contributed to the success of Expatsradio, entered our competitions and added content. They are too numerous to mention in their entirety but special thanks should go out to the Editorial Team, Peter Clayton especially who has kept us up to the mark with his many reports on expat matters, Terry Clear, Jack Snyder and Mark Sampson for their broad ranging musical contributions and not forgetting the continuity voices and studio team of EPR. All of these will be back with us in 2015 to add their professionalism to the new service.
Finally, dear listeners, it is you that we will miss most of all each week. With the mails and comments that have flooded in to the station these past 8 years it will seem odd not to have that contact. Most of us here have also built up friendships with people we would not otherwise have known. A great privilege we all feel. We hope you will support the new project and make that a regular part of your expat lifestyle.
Greetings to you all until we return.
The Expatsradio team.
